Ricky Navarro was absolutely amazing in so many ways, greatly enhancing the final result for the extensive modern update of our 1/2 acre property! On top of all new planting, Ricky installed a lot of hardscaping -- black tejas driveway with cement border, cement pads going across the driveway, cement retaining wall, and two gravel paths, along with beautiful curves for the beds and driveway. Ricky is meticulous, responsive, patient, knowledgeable and fair. I have never met a contractor that possesses all of these attributes--and I've met many contractors in my 35 years in the design industry. He was so easy to work with and his recommendations were on-point. His pricing was fair and transparent-- there were no surprises, even after I changed my mind mid-stream a couple times. He was recommended to me by a friend who had used him through Yardzen; so I did the same thing -- paid Yardzen for the design, then Ricky for the execution. There were still many decisions along the way, and his expertise helped guide us through these in an intelligent way. Best of all, Ricky's vast knowledge of plants -- what would grow and what would not grow in our tricky Dallas climate-- will ensure that we'll enjoy our low maintenance new landscape for years to come. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

We just finished a complete re-design of our the garden beds in our yard. New pavers, gravel, plants, etc. After securing bids from 3 different companies and using a design we purchased through Yardzen, we decided to work with Ricky and his crew. I can’t tell you how pleased we are with our new garden beds! We got exactly what we wanted! He was super thorough, reasonably priced and made sure to communicate with us throughout the process. We had Complete Landscape & Design redo our entire front yard/side yard. This included pouring a new patio, new concrete stepper walkway, leveling the side yard and putting in a new path, extending and replanting the front flower beds. Ricky was fair and transparent with the process, easy to get a hold of, and knowledgeable about the process/plants to use. His quote was competitive and work was completed as designed within the specified project timeline. Would recommend working with them if you have a project you need completed and I will plan to use them again if I have any future work.

I am a perfectionist and challenging to please. Mardo and his crew get a 10 out of 10. It’s the first time I’ve awarded a perfect score to anyone who’s worked for me and I just completed construction on a new home.

1. He thrives on making customers happy
2. The crew shows up on time and works HARD.
3. His plant purchases on my behalf were very high quality. No skimping on size or number.
4. Mardo under promises and over delivers. He does things I didn’t even know to ask.
5. At the end of every day, the crew neatens up, cleans up and throws away all trash.
6. Everyone is very patient. When I asked for a plant to be moved after it was already planted where I had directed, there was NO attitude. None. Just cooperation.
7. There is attention to detail. For example, each stone on a path is perfectly spaced and leveled. All rock areas have weed barrier, top soil, gravel and then rocks. Yup.
8. He hauls away job related debris. (Basic but not everyone does)
9. You feel like you are his only customer even though he states he needs to check in at his other job sites.
10. Both Mardo and crew obviously have many years of experience. It shows in their work quality.
11. They don’t cut corners. Once they were digging a hole for a large tree and unexpectedly ran into a whole bunch bricks about two feet under the soil line. I came outside to see them hand-chiseling them out. Awesome.
12. Unlike many contractors, he has a well run business. Mardo doesn’t require a multitude of progress payments in order to stay afloat. He has that managed as well.

Could not recommend this company more. When we set out to landscape our front lawn, Mardo had the most reasonable and thorough estimate out of the 6 companies we priced out. He and his crew were prompt, polite, and very knowledgeable and completed the entire job within a week. They arrived on time and continued to answer all of my follow up care questions in a timely manner. You won't be disappointed with Mardo and his crew!
